The TSW 6240 W is a twin-axle universal spreader with a gross weight of 23 to 24 t. It is equipped with a conical all-steel bin and a rugged, low-maintenance drive. The milling unit features two horizontal milling beaters and has a passage height of 1,500 mm. For optimum shredding, the milling beaters are fitted with double tines in a V-pattern. These are screw-fitted for easy replacement. As standard, the milling beaters are driven via roller chains. Optionally, the cardan drive can be selected for driving the milling beaters. The standard disk spreader unit features two spreader disks (each with ø 1,000 mm and six adjustable spreader blades). The innovative and patented V-Spread wide spreading unit with two spreader disks arranged in a V-pattern (each with ø 1,100 mm and six adjustable spreader blades) is optionally available. Both spreader units are ideally suited for optimum spreading of all materials (stable manure, compost, lime, etc.). Depending on the spread material, working widths of up to 24 m are possible with the standard disk spreader unit, and of up to 36 m with V-Spread. V-Spread achieved top marks in the DLG test and was awarded the "DLG Anerkannt" (DLG Approved) quality seal. The standard weighing system has a measurement error of far below 1 %. The standard tandem chassis with 300 mm hydraulic axle compensation ensures superior driving characteristics, excellent stability and off-road capability as well as safety both at standstill and while driving. To ensure low ground disturbance on the field – especially on light, peaty soils with low weight-bearing capacity – various tyres with ideal rolling and rollover characteristics in sizes up to 800/45 R30.5 are available. A follow-up steering to minimize disturbance of the sensitive sward is standard. The large range of optional extras makes for an ideal adaptation to users’ requirements.
