HTW 45
Tandem chassis, 45 to 48.6 m³ load volume, without dosing rollers, from 160 hp
The forage transport trailer is the logical link for an efficient transport of quality feed between modern forage harvesters and the fodder silo. It maximizes utilization of the forage harvester, thereby paying a valuable contribution to reducing the time needed for harvest. As well as transporting grass and maize silage, the BERGMANN forage transport trailers can also be used for other forage, such as whole crop silage, wood chips and many other biomass products. The wide range of BERGMANN forage transport trailers has been developed for agricultural enterprises for which speed and economic efficiency are key. Rapid unloading and thus superior performance are ensured through the combination of a robust, conical cargo space, a scraper floor with four solid round-link steel chains with an overall breaking load of 100 t, and a powerful scraper floor drive on both sides. The HTW 45 forage transport trailer without dosing rollers has a load volume of 45 to 48.6 m³. The HTW models without dosing rollers are especially suited for rapid unloading of large fodder volumes next to the silo. They can be unloaded in less than a minute. The standard tandem chassis with 300 mm hydraulic axle compensation ensures superior driving characteristics, excellent stability and off-road capability as well as safety both at standstill and while driving. To ensure low ground disturbance on the field – especially on light, peaty soils with low weight-bearing capacity – various tyres with ideal rolling and rollover characteristics in sizes up to 800/45 R30.5 are available. A follow-up steering to minimize disturbance of the sensitive sward is standard. For the HTW series, many convenient optional extras are available, including a cargo space cover, forced steering, LED working lights and an automatic central lubrication system. It can be operated via ISOBUS.
- Chassis:
- High loads and service life through torsion-resistant chassis and low dead weight of forage transport trailer
- Easy height adjustment of drawbar eye through height-adjustable drawbar for low drawbar
- High driving comfort and very high load capability through spring-loaded drawbar
- Narrow drawbar for good manoeuvrability
- Bogie:
- High swing angles for good adaptability to terrain, easy driving over silos and easy towing with and handling on the road through tandem chassis with trailing arms and hydraulic axle compensation of 300 mm
- Maximum driving safety, for example at high speeds and on slopes
- Clean mudguards and therefore no soiling of road since mudguards are tapered to the outside
- Manoeuvrability, transport with low ground disturbance also at high payloads and low tyre wear through standard follow-up steering
- High stability in the field and on the silo through 2,100 mm axle track width
- Low ground disturbance also at high payloads through optimum distribution of the weight over the four wheels and tyres up to 800/45 R30.5
- Brake system:
- Safe driving, operational safety and high ease of use through standard dual-circuit air brake system
- PTO shaft:
- Overload protection for tractor and forage transport trailer through standard wide-angle PTO shaft (on one side) with cam clutch
- Drive train:
- Minimum wear through 1-piece shaft without spring pins and holes
- Body:
- Easy emptying also of damp and heavy forage through conical body
- Transparent front wall provides the driver with an excellent view into the cargo space
- Inclined front wall to prevent accumulation of forage in the front wall viewing window
- Easy harvesting through the 600 mm high hydraulically foldable forage loading flap in the front wall as standard
- Reliable mechanical locking of hydraulically operated tailgate also on poor roads
- Easy emptying also at high load through tailgate with large opening width
- Scraper floor:
- Long durability and high reserves through four strong round-link steel chains with specially hardened ends
- No chain skipping due to large engagement depth of chain links in the chain sprockets (approx. 95 %)
- No flight skew through paired link elongation
- Reliable crop transport through flights of rectangular tubing
- Easy monitoring of scraper floor and chain tension through automatic chain tensioners that can be seen from the tractor
- Convenient chain tension readjustment from the front of the forage transport trailer
- Convenient observation of the scraper floor through viewing window
- Quick emptying through scraper floor that is mechanically driven on both sides with split feed shaft
- Even power transmission to the scraper floor through mechanical drive
- Even crop feed ensures a good distribution in the silo
- Operation:
- Easy and safe operation allows high daily output
- Chassis:
- Frame of rectangular tubing
- Mechanical spring-loaded drawbar for low drawbar
